This week's full moon will be the second super moon of the season, appearing brighter and larger than usual and it is the biggest most powerful Full Moon of the year
May's full moon is known as the "Flower Moon," and because a total lunar eclipse - also known as a "blood moon" as it gives the moon a reddish hue - is also set to happen at the same time, it's being called the "Super Flower Blood Moon."
Because of the nature of this Flower moon, I will be leading the ceremony with the theme of “May you Blossom”.
The intention and focus will be on, growth, self love, nurturing, nourishment and female energy. I will take you through some movements and a guided meditation to connect to yourself, blossoming from a little girl, to an adult in full bloom.
I will use the flower of life as a core element in this ceremony.
My intention for facilitating this sacred Cacao Ceremony is to create an open space of love and empowerment, for you to connect to yourselves and each other through the heart, with the help of the Spirit of Grandmother Cacao. I will open and hold a space where you can connect to your intentions, let go of anything that feels limiting to you. Open all of your petals as a divine female, into full bloom.
You will get the opportunity during the ceremony to speak out your main intention to the group if you wish to. I recommend this, as the power of speaking it out is very important. When we speak, we send out our unique vibration and add our frequency to the conversation of the universe.
Why do a ceremony or ritual? Our draw to ceremony and the desire to find sacredness in the ordinary is an innate human instinct, something we have been seeking out for centuries. Ceremony has been used to demarcate passages of time, seasons coming and going. It has been used to mark rites of passage and to bring communities and people together. When we arrive to a ceremonial experience, we feel the energy shifts deep in our being. It is as if a part of us innately knows we are stepping into an experience that is much bigger than we could have ever imagined.
In these sacred spaces, we find ourselves surrounded by others whose energy, vision, and values mirror and echo our own. And in this space of deep connection to ourselves and others we can let go into the growth and celebration that is here for us. Doing a ritual or a ceremony gives us a special time and space that we otherwise would not create, to dedicate to feeling into something we really want for ourselves. Since we are always manifesting from our feelings, vibrating out what we want to the world, it is very important we actually spend dedicated time feeling deeply what we want to call into our lives.
A Cacao Ceremony is the perfect way to do this. And since it works specifically with the heart space in your body, it is a wonderful medicine to connect and open yourself to love and relating to yourself and others in a deeper way.
